About Sinead

Sinead has been a Registered General Nurse since 2004, she has a Higher Diploma in Coaching Psychology from UCC, and worked for 11 years in Occupational Health helping employees with work stress, work-life balance, promoting physical and mental wellbeing. The Coaching Psychology approach’s Sinead uses are Cognitive behavioural, relational, narrative and positive psychology. Sinead also has an interest in Neuroscience and the role of neural pathways in habit formation.

I get a number of enquiries from nurses interested in coaching. I know you are thinking ahead into the future about what it might look like to be a self-employed coach. You either are considering starting a coaching course or you have completed one and want to explore a career as a coach.

The place I started was doing this course in UCC however this is one of many courses that you could explore doing in Ireland. My own experience was that I would never have regretted doing this course even if I didn’t end up working in this area.

The life lessons and personal development was well worth it, it was more than a qualification for me. If you didn’t want to go the self employed route then I feel you could absolutely apply the tools from this course to your current work and life.

Then before I took the jump from being a nurse in permanent employment to a self employed coach I went to my own coach to help me navigate making this decision. I would love to support you in gaining clarity on whether you should make this jump and if so what direction to take. I recommend starting with a 3 week package.

About All Packages

I understand that investing your money, time, trust and energy in your health with me can feel overwhelming. And you might have worked with others or done health programs that over-promised and under-delivered in the past. I won’t make empty promises. But I will give you my all and, if you do the same, the 15 week packages will have a transformative and lasting impact on you, your health and wellness. It’s okay if you’re not ready for that, some of my packages have a 3 session plan. Why not book a no pressure free 15 min call with me for further clarity on whether the 15 week package is for you.

I do offer single sessions for those that have recently done a number of sessions with me. However for new clients there is little value in 1 session and so the minimum is 3 sessions for new clients.
Yes, consultations are facilitated over zoom and in-person in Cork City
Coaching takes place over zoom. My clients are all over the world, but zoom lets us connect deeply and in a way that’s private, safe and convenient.
Yes, in fact, I would say it increases your chances of success. My coaching complements other forms of support e.g. you may be attending a dietician, physio, personal trainer, weight loss group etc…
Yes, our work together is confidential, as far as is safe and legal to do so.

Yes I have one space available bi-monthly for lower-cost coaching for my health condition packages.

I have an email Self Health community which you can sign up here. You’ll receive small insights and tips designed to help you embrace and take charge of your health and wellbeing, sparking meaningful changes in your life. As a special bonus, I offer occasional discounts on my services exclusively for my subscribers.

I have a podcast where I have different guests monthly with different Health and Wellness topics.

I have a blog which I update regularly with some great insights and stories.

I put up regular content on Linkedin and Instagram with Health and Wellness tips and advice.

I have an online diary where you can choose a slot that works best for you. I usually have availability to start within a week.
My personal coaching sessions have availability on weekday mornings and weekday evenings. My leadership packages have greater availability.
Don’t worry, I will tailor our work together towards your own needs and we will get clear on our first session the direction we will be taking. Over a free 15 min call with me we can chat through all your questions together about my coaching packages.
When you book in for a session via my online diary, you will automatically be emailed a zoom link for our call.
I value my clients ongoing health and wellbeing so with your permission I will check in with you in 3 months time via email to offer brief email support to keep you on track.
Support & accountability in between sessions via Email, I’ll be in your back pocket whenever you want to share a wobble or a win.

About Payments

All payments are taken via stripe. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.
